An Update

Happy New Year!!!

….What’s that?  I’m a little late?

You’ll get over it.

In order to stick with my self-imposed media topics theme, I tend to keep the content of “Digitally Smitten” removed from my personal life (the non-media-related part, anyway).  For this post, however, I have some brief updates to share that are personal but will affect the blog:

You may have noticed that I’ve been rather absent from the blogosphere lately.  Aside from the obvious downtime of Christmas and New Year’s (mine was wonderful, by the way), I’ve been quite busy with “life” stuff.  You see (for those of you not in the know), I was recently offered a job in the Cincinnati area – which is decidedly not where I’m currently located.  I gladly accepted the job, but, because of that little action, I’ve been scrambling like crazy to pack, find an apartment, and, of course, still enjoy what free time I have left.  Tomorrow, however, marks the beginning of a new stage for me, as I’m beginning a halfway-cross-country drive to my new area of living.  It’s exciting but also nerve-wracking.

For the next few weeks, I probably won’t be making many (if any) new posts.  For awhile, this will be due to the mere fact that I won’t have internet access.  Once I finally get that squared away, however, I will likely post very few new entries until life has “settled down” (if indeed it ever does) and I’m more comfortable with my job and my new living arrangements.  If I’m sounding ambiguous, it’s because I don’t have a concrete timeframe in mind. For all I know, it could be a month before I think of the blog again, or I could get bored in a week and feel the urge to write out my opinion on something.  We shall see.

With that, I will end this update with a sincere wish for you, the reader, to have a great year (I know – I’m late.  I said you’d get over it).  Thanks for reading my stuff over the past few months.  It’s been a lot of fun, and I look forward to continuing to slam you over the head with my (biased and sometimes ignorant) opinions over the course of this year.

Peace out.
